Hi, its been a long time since I update my blog and its already the new year (quite a long time, isn't it?)..
anyways, here it is my new post^^
it is about my favorite tv shows, Running Man!
Running Man (Korean: 런닝맨) is a South Korean variety show; a part of SBS's Good Sunday lineup, along with Kim Byung-man's Law of the Jungle 2.
It was first aired on July 11, 2010. This show is classified as an
"urban action variety"; a never-before-seen new genre of variety shows.The MCs and guests complete missions in a landmark to win the race. It has garnered attention as being the come-back program for Yu Jae-suk, the main MC of the program, after leaving Good Sunday's Family Outing in February 2010.Airing at the 5:00PM KST time slot for most of it's run, Running Man switched to the second part of Good Sunday (which happened May 22 and May 29, 2011 with Kim Yu-na's Kiss and Cry but was quickly switched back due to low ratings) beginning May 6, 2012, airing after Kim Byung-man's Law of the Jungle 2 and airing against KBS2 Happy Sunday's 1 Night 2 Days Season 2 and MBC Sunday Night's I Am a Singer 2.
Running Man is a very popular variety show, not only in south korea, but in southeast asia and europe too. It gained the most high rating viewer. The basic format of the game is a simple hide and seek game, but it varies with mini games usually called as mission as the member and the guest race to the final destination where the hide and seek game started. The member ang guests have name-tag on their back which is when its tored, the person with the name-tag tored is out of the game. The final survivor is the winner.
not only running man brings a new concept every episode, but the member also make it more interesting with their own character. For example, there is Yoo Jae Suk as the center role of Running Man is the nation MC (best MC I guess, I'm a big fan of him^^) and also famous called as The Grasshopper. Meanwhile the other character are HaHa as Haroro, Kim Jong Kook as the commander or sparta Kook, Song Ji hyo as the Ace, Lee Kwang Soo as framer kwang soo and giraffe, Gary as Peacefull Gary, and Ji Suk Jin the oldest member as big nose hyung. These typical character is what makes the show more interesting. on the other hand, the next contributing factor is the guests. the guests also make the show much much interesting. For example, if the guests are beautiful women (usually actress and idol) the member, exclude Song Ji hyo (she is a women of course) would very exagerrating. They usually overreacting when the beautiful guest first came out. But, that is which is make it more fun^^.
At first, I didn't interest at all with all about korean. I'm an Anime fan, which is from Japan. But, after watching Running Man, I started to get interest about korea, such as its tv shows, its artist, the languange, the food, and not to mention the K-POP (hehe:p). Through Running Man, I also learn about their country. As well as Anime. Through Anime, I also learn about Japan. Running Man isn't aired at the local tv channel in my country, so I watch it from downloading it at subbing sites.RUNNING MAN, DAEBAK!^^
